Fluid Dreams

With a bit of full moon fever last night, we took to the water to enjoy some artificial surf made possible by the red rocket. red_return.jpg kahlil_flashsplash.jpg dizz_flashsplash.jpg

Now that we’ve said our goodbyes and we’re ready to sail onward, I can unwind. Leaving St. Maarten is hard after all the great times I’ve had here. I can’t say that I had the waterworks, Kleenex sniffles but this nomadic life certainly takes it’s toll on you when you leave a place you’ve just become so acquainted with. I’ve moved around from tourist towns across the States quite a lot since I left home 13 years ago, but I guess it’s only slightly less demoralizing. Actually, I’m starting to think there are great people everywhere you go, and the more open you are to experience them and share your gifts, the more you can grow in new ways as you move through different cultures. So I’m embracing this life on the move, detached in a way, but with a solid foundation.

Finally we’re on the hook again and my lucid dreams have returned bringing clarity and tranquility. I’ve never slept better than these many nights aboard the Natural Mystic. Slumber is truly a mystic experience that I have learned to love and yearned for during times on the hard. So I’ll leave you with some words that summarize my feelings.

In fluid dreams
I float through doors
To a place in me
Unexplored before

Subconscious confirmation
With no manipulation
Foresight meditation
Removing trepidation

The ocean’s motion
Distills the notion
That life’s commotion
Comes from unequal proportions

Finding balance
On an ebbing tide
Free from frustration
Enjoying the ride
