The whole Natty M crew was in the water for yesterday’s afternoon session. Lars rigged another sail up and rode it down to the beach on the Bitter End. After the whole troop launched from the small beach, it was rush hour in the water. Lars soon found himself on the radar of Kyber’s water cannon and fell victim to an attack during one of his upwind shlogs. After a relentless attack, Lars went in to the safety of dry land but not before Kyber could send one more boardload of water his way.
Ty’s foot scrape was still a little raw for his bindings so he rode his surfboard and whacked a few turns.
The wind soon died and brought a downpour of rain. I fled the scene like a photo refugee considering that a little rain on my gear could shut down our operation. Once the rest of the team packed their gear up, they met me just in time to crash a cocktail party. We proceeded to devour the finger foods like we hadn’t seen food in days. It was a funny sight; we were in wet boardshorts hovering around the food like vultures at a not-so-casual party we had no business being at. No one seemed to mind and we left shortly before we wore out our welcome. After a regroup at the boat we went back to shore to mash it up. It was a jolly good time with a great turnout. We were “liming” until the wee hours of the morning enjoying this island paradise.
