Trading the SBYC Burgee For Hampton YC Before Shoving Off

December 27th, 2007 · 10 Comments

Well, we shoved off at 11:40 am this morning to sunny skies and no wind, we are currently motoring out the channel of the Chesapeake Bay, dodging freighter traffic and shoal water.  The wind continues to be light and the swell outside is dying on all the Buoys, the conditions are looking ideal for crossing the Gulf Stream which should happen some time tomorrow.  We will try to keep you all posted as to our progress and wish you all the best.  Cheers – Kyber

Thanks Dad, its been a nice afternoon of sailing so far today and it is now starting to get dark and the wind is still 8 to 10 knots and were making about 7 knots towards our first way point. P-Kiddy is tripping out a little bit, probably reminds him of the Storm, but I’m sure he will snap out of it after a little bit, love you and mom lots and will keep you posted.

Hi Kyber, Tybur and Ben and P Kidd

I wish you all good luck on this leg of your adventure. My thoughts are with you guys and I hope for calm seas and adequate wind to get you to a warmer climate and a new port. Give P lots of loving to help calm him down. Looking forward to your next posting.
    Love, Mom (Candy)
